I count down my top 5 favorite vegan comfort foods with recipes, including mac & cheese, burgers, hot dogs, Ramen noodles, potatoes and lentils, and hummus. Other foods profiled are ice cream, wings, onion rings and dim sum.

Tahini sauce recipe -
2 cloves of garlic
1 tblsp olive oil
1 tblsp tamari or soy sauce
1 tblsp miso paste
2 tblsp tahini
3 tblsp nutritional yeast
juice of half lemon
The burger -
precooked green lentils
bread crumbs
onion
mushrooms
kale
zesty italian dressing
dice onions, mushrooms and kale and fry in italian dressing
then combine with precooked green lentils
add bread crumbs (optional)
form into patties
fry patties in italian dressing
hot dogs - buy any meatless hot dog
boil for 3-4 minutes
use a vegan bun (most buns are vegan)
top with ketchup mustard and relish
Ramen noodles - buy vegan noodles at costco
cook according to instructions (6 minutes on boil)
rinse and season with tamari sauce
top with olives and a small side of kimchi
Japanese sweet potaotes
preheat oven to 350 F
wash (don't pierce) potatoes
bake for 1hour and 8 minutes
let them sit and cool for 1 hour
Lentils (green lentils)
2 cups of green lentils to 4 cups of water
bring to boil, reduce heat to low
cook for 40 minutes
let sit and covered for an additional 20 minutes
